We love what we do and are passionate about creating beautiful water features that bring joy to our clients and add value to their homes. Altogether, our team members have more than 40 years of experience designing, installing, repairing and maintaining residential and commercial ponds and water features.
Mark King, Owner
Mark King (Owner)
Mark started the company in 2006 with just himself, a magnetic sign, and a pickup truck. In the succeeding ten years the company has grown to include two crews and three trucks.
Ponds have been a lifelong passion for Mark. He built his first pond 20 years ago and ponds have been a central part of his life ever since. Mark is the face of the company and does all the paperwork, sales, and customer service duties. When you call The Pond Doctor for help, Mark is the one you talk to.
Fishing is Mark’s second passion and you may find him on his boat taking your call from his cell phone. Having an experienced crew allows Mark to run a successful company and enjoy a good work/life balance.
Scott Bridges
Scott Bridges, Foreman
Scott is a Foreman for The Pond Doctor. He has been with us for five years. He is very experienced at maintaining and constructing water features. Scott has attended many Aquascape training events and attended this year’s annual Pondemonium event in Chicago.
Scott is a big guy — which comes in handy when moving a large boulder is required. Scott also has a natural knack for fixing things and keeps our equipment in top shape.
Scott is married to his lovely wife Holly and lives in Warrenton, Virginia.
Jeremiah Hammerl
Jeremiah Hammerl, Foreman
Jeremiah, our second Foreman, just joined us this year. Prior to joining The Pond Doctor Jeremiah served for many years as the Foreman of the pond division a large landscaping company.
We are fortunate to have Jeremiah on our team, as he brings considerable experience working on many large and small aquascape and pond projects over the course of his career. Our clients also benefit from Jeremiah’s extensive knowledge of ecosystems and plant species when seeking advice about their landscaping needs.
Jeremiah also attended Pondemonium with us this year. He lives in Winchester and loves to hike and enjoy the outdoors.
Roberto Alvarado
Roberto Alvarado
Roberto is our workhorse. He has been with us for over 6 years, and is gifted at finding the simplest, most efficient way of getting the job done.
Roberto is building a house in his home country of Guatemala, where he plans to return some day. He loves to catch and eat fish — and he makes an awesome catfish head soup. Roberto currently lives in Manassas with his family.
Connie King
Connie is the chief bookkeeper and company Mom for The Pond Doctor. She handles the entire daily invoicing, payroll and other office related tasks. She recently retired from a long career at Micron. She loves her new job and the fact that she can work from home. Her passion for ponds and Koi fish started many years ago when she married Mark and was introduced to the world of water gardening. Connie especially enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
